How to use this tracker?

  1. Download this excel and save it on Desktop or at a folder you visit often. Key here is to refer it atleast twice a month.
  2. Inside 1st worksheet: Enter your income against different categories. The same applies for fixed and flexible expenses.
  3. Inside 2nd worksheet: Mention your planned savings, emergency fund, expense for each month. This sheet has an annual and monthly view for planned vs actual performance. The values for 'actual' fields auto fill based on your entry and calculation in sheet 1.
  4. Inside 3rd worksheet: Your income vs expense month-on-month look & income vs expense vs emergency fund.
  5. Inside 4th worksheet: Above points (except for #1) are mentioned under this section. The excel is customizable so it also mentions sections under which you can modify.
